The finale of the SofH convention package, the now famous Red Heart

The Spirit of Harmony Chorus has now established itself firmly in the top rank of British and European Barbershop singers. Their Gold Medal at the Coleraine Music Festival in 2004 followed by their Bronze Medals at the British Association of Barbershop Singers Conventions in 2006, 2008, 2009 and 2010 and their 2006 'standing ovation' performance in Zaandam, Holland means that the 55-man chorus is now the premier group of its type in the North of England.

With a wide, varied and exciting programme, including fully staged theme presentations, Spirit of Harmony provides its audiences with a thoroughly entertaining programme of music, fun and laughter that will change your opinions forever and show you just how enjoyable 21st Century Barbershop singing can be.

The Spirit of Harmony rehearses every Thursday evening at The Riley Smith Hall, Tadcaster starting at 7:30. Visitors are warmly welcomed, whether to sing with us or just to listen. The Chorus is available to put on high quality shows, fund-raising evenings or after-dinner performances and can deliver groups of varying sizes, from Quartets to Octets and full Choruses from 20 to 50 singers.

Whatever the number, you’ll find that our fees are reasonable and leave plenty of room for your own fund-raising needs. Above all, you’ll be delighted with the entertainment and the wonderful sound.
